How It All Began
Tiny Dancing Dara
Dara started dance at the age of three! By the end of her first recital performance, she declared to her grandparents that she would have a solo the next year. Though she did not perform a solo until she was older, Dara continued to dance, remaining eager to learn and excited to perform! Since then, the art form of dance has become an abundant source of joy in Dara’s life, sparking her passion for performing. Dara says, “I love to entertain! Nothing warms my heart more than being able to emotionally connect to an audience, radiating love and joy to others through performance.”
Becoming a Star!
Oklahoma City University Stars
Dara Brown is a well-rounded performer with extensive training in a variety of styles, some of which include tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary/lyrical, musical theatre, partnering, and precision dance. She recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University’s Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment and a minor in Business Entrepreneurship! Dara is extremely grateful for the educational opportunities OCU has given her in preparing her for the professional world. However, the friendships and memories created with her OCU family were definitely the biggest blessing from her time as a Star!
